To date, The BUILD Health Challenge has supported 37 projects in 21 states and Washington, DC.

The current cohort consists of 19 communities that are located across the country. Each community effort is led by a community based organization, hospital or health system, public health department, and others. By strengthening partnerships between these groups, BUILD is cultivating a shared commitment to moving resources, attention, and action upstream. Together, they are working to transform the health and wellness of their communities.

Many of these projects have already yielded highly promising approaches that focused on issues such as home remediation to address childhood asthma; code enforcement at the local level to reduce housing hazards; and access to healthy foods in response to food insecurity and obesity.
